The Fast Stream allows you to amass a wide range of experience in a very short time. Fast Streamers begin their careers with a series of contrasting placements or postings. These give you the chance to move between projects and areas of work and build up a valuable portfolio of experience.
Many Fast Streamers work in more than one government department, and many have an opportunity to go on secondments to the wider public sector, Europe or the charity or private sectors.
In order to get a broad mix of experience, you might well spend time working in more than one part of the UK.
