Northern Ireland Fast Stream

Growing a sustainable economy and investing in the future? Delivering high quality and efficient public services? Protecting our people and environment and creating safer communities? These are just some of the issues your ideas and contribution can help to tackle when you’re working as part of the Northern Ireland (NI) Fast Stream.

The work of the Northern Ireland Civil Service impacts on every aspect of life in Northern Ireland. The Service supports the Northern Ireland Executive to serve the people of Northern Ireland by delivering the priority commitments set out in its Programme for Government and Economic and Investment strategies. To do so the Civil Service needs to develop effective leaders and a capable and flexible workforce. We need a Civil Service which reflects the diversity of people, talent and experience within our society.

The NI Fast Stream is a demanding programme which offers you the opportunity to join the Civil Service at middle management level. This programme provides a wide variety of interesting job opportunities. You could find yourself working on policy, operations, finance or in direct support of Ministers.

We are committed to the continuous training and development of our people to meet our challenging business needs and to help you realise your full potential.

Given the size and scope of the NI Civil Service, the prospects for your long-term professional career are excellent.
