The Houses of Parliament Fast Stream can offer you a career at the very centre of the political process. It’s fascinating work for anyone with an interest in Parliament, the constitution and public affairs.
You’ll be joining several hundred parliamentary staff working in support of the business of the Houses, their committees and individual MPs and Members of the House of Lords.
There will be opportunities to get involved in a wide range of work, such as facilitating debates, scrutinising legislation and briefing Members as well as supporting the management of two complex and evolving institutions. There may also be opportunities to travel either in support of select committees or as part of the temporary staff of international parliamentary assemblies.

What are we looking for?
To apply, you will need to have achieved or be predicted to achieve at least a 2:2 degree as well as having the key competencies we look for in all our Fast Streamers, you must have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the Houses of Parliament and the Fast Stream.
When you apply, you must select the Houses of Parliament as your first preference or you will not be considered.
