Entrepreneur First is a two-year programme which gives graduates with promising business ideas the opportunity to start a business, supported by corporate mentoring, business training and networking. It is modelled on Teach First.
This pioneering not-for-profit programme was launched by the Prime Minister in March 2011, with the cooperation of a range of prominent graduate recruiters, including the Fast Stream. Entrepreneur First opened to students across the UK in October 2011, and its first cohort of graduates started work in August 2012. We are happy to allow successful Fast Stream applicants to defer their entry to take part in Entrepreneur First. At the end of their two years in the programme, they will have the option of continuing to build their own business or of starting their Civil Service career in the Fast Stream.
